Hey everyone, we are already deep in planning for THIRST 2010 and are super excited for what's coming up. We've got our band lined up, our speaker is booked, plus we've taken your feedback and are making some sweet changes. Over the next several weeks we will be sharing more info about our speaker, worship band, and other extra surprises. But that's not all: we want to make THIRST the best weekend we can, so we're expanding its reach as an event for any teens that want to come (beyond COG)! There is so much potential here - and our goal is to help your generation to become world-changers. So stay tuned for more information, and feel free to contact us anytime. Hey, we're running a contest today, deadline is 7 pm tonight. Post on the THIRST wall on Facebook or comment on the THIRST website and post one of your favorite memories from THIRST. We've been planning for THIRST 2009 and have a couple of things to share with you:
1) We have our speaker lined up. Maybe you've heard of him. He goes by the name RUNKS! Yes, he will be back with us this year!

2) We're working on getting our band lined up for this year, but trust us, you won't be disappointed.

3) We will be back in Erie again (at least this year) but we shouldn't have to worry about having to send a bus to shuttle you at night. Parking should be available for all of our THIRST convention attendees!

and 4) We want to hear from you! We're looking at mixing up the "breakout" sessions a bit, and want to know: What topics would you like to hear/learn about? Teens and adults, let us know!

THIRST has come and gone...

So THIRST has officially come, and was a fantastic time. Now we are back home, with our family, with our friends, with our peers at school. Our call now is to share what we've learned, how we've grown and love on others. How was THIRST for you? What did you enjoy? Share it with us and with others!

So glad so many of you were able to make it. We love you all!

We are just over a week away from THIRST 2008. Make sure you check out the convention schedule and get any final details taken care of. We are SO EXCITED for the event this year. One last thing: there is STILL TIME to register and invite a friend to come and be a part of this amazing event. If you've ever been to THIRST before, you know the impact and life change it can have on people. Invite your friends so that they can experience God in this awesome way. See you on the 21st!

Hey friend! (and yes, we are friends) Just wanted to say really quickly that we are ONLY 2 1/2 weeks away from THIRST 2008! There's still time to get registered and invite a friend or two as well. The registration right now is ONLY $75 and is well worth it. Be ready for a weekend with an awesome band, a great speaker, comedy, hanging out, FREEBIES, and so on. We've even got some new free stuff for the leaders too! Also, make sure that if you're going to Splash Lagoon that you let Dan Smith know BEFORE arriving (call him).

Wanted to remind everyone that sign ups are going on now for Splash Lagoon during the free time on Saturday afternoon. There are only 200 spots available, and are on a first come - first serve basis. If you're going, you MUST reserve your spot with Dan Smith (814.371.0727) prior to going, and you need to fill out a release form here or on the right. Sweet!

Dear Youth Leader:

Have you gotten thirsty for change yet? We sure hope so… cuz we have lots of it this year. Funny, God has such a great sense of humor. Isn’t He funny? Our planning team was in cruise control with this year’s event. And then a loss of venue and lodging and… well let’s just say we turned off the cruise control. But we have found a great new location and beautiful new hotels and God has awesome things in store for all of us. Many of you have already registered. The rest of you?… What are you waiting for? J The early deadline has come and gone, but you can still get in on the regular registration rate. Thirst is just around the corner and you don’t want to miss out on this event. And hey, check out our new website at www.wpathirst.com

Here are just a couple of reminders for you as we move closer to our convention.

1. Be sure to pay close attention to important dates in your registration information.
2. Be sure to contact our host hotels directly in order to book your guest rooms. Register as “Thirst 2008”. Please note that our room block is being held only until October 23. After this date, we cannot even guarantee the convention rate. So please do not delay in reserving your rooms.

Oh ya, there’s more, so here is some additional information:

1. We will be using wristbands again this year for security purposes.
3. Wristbands must be worn (on the wrist) by Thirst delegates for the entire weekend. Replacement wristbands may be purchased by registered delegates at a cost of $5.00 per replacement.
4. You will receive schedule information and further registration instructions pertaining to the convention schedule in our next mailing before the end of the month.
5. Quick Registration Note:
a. Please travel to your hotel and register your rooms first
b. We will provide shuttle service to the convention center for off-site hotel guests and will provide instructions in our mailing before the end of the month.
